Snyderverse fans find hope in Zack Snyder’s Justice League releasing digitally on HBO Max

Snyderverse fans have found hope in Warner Bros. recent announcement for Zack Snyder’s Justice League releasing on HBO Max on July 19. The unexpected news has DCEU fanatics excited over the possibility of seeing the director’s vision for Man of Steel and the DC’s ensemble as a whole come to life.

Warner Bros. Picture has mostly eluded promoting Zack Snyder’s Justice League on its main platform since the studio considers 2017’s theatrical release as canon rather than the 4-hour director cut. But seeing the new poster banner shared on the official handle instead of HBO Max has some fans convinced it’s a sign of good things to come.

The release date set for July 19, around the time San Diego Comic-Con kicks off also rose suspicion if the studio has any Snyder-related announcement in store during its Hall H panel. But WB has denied having any such event to showcase the digital release at SDCC. Nevertheless, the fandom has got #RestoretheSnyderverse and Zack Snyder’s Justice League trending on Twitter, in an attempt to convince the new head Warner Bros. Discovery head David Zaslav to support the original DCEU plans. Readers can check it out below.

Officially, neither the studio nor the DCEU actors, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck have yet to even hint at a potential return. In fact, Superman and Batman were presumably not part of future DC movie plans since The Flash movie’s storyline is reportedly on road to erasing or hitting a soft reboot of the main timeline. But the merger with Discovery had some insiders indicating the course correction narrative could change due the new regime.
